Wow, it's been a while. A lot has happened.
I performed in my first show at Columbia. I became very skilled in being a bird and balancing on one leg. I had rocking blue hair and make-up. Of course, I only got one decent picture of me. Part of our show was recorded for promotion purposes, so hopefully I can share that really soon as well.
As part of the directing minor, I did a bit of stage managing. So that's been pretty fun, as it turns out, I really enjoy doing it.
I'm also now proficient in unarmed, rapier/dagger, and broadsword stage combat. I'm really excited about that. I spent a lot of time asking my roommates of they were proud of me (they were.) I'd like to continue getting tested for other weapons, but we'll have to see if that fits in with my schedule.
I'm in this year's Manifest video! I was a part of the stage combat showcase, and a whole bit of the video was dedicated to that. (I know, I'm wearing jeans, which is a huge no-no, but to be fair, I had a staged reading prior to this and had to dress nicely.)
In the meantime, I'm staying in Chicago for the summer, working as an orientation leader for incoming students at Columbia. We'll see what happens next.
